Mr. McElhenney brings a deep background of more than 30 years of experience in the medical device industry including leadership positions in Manufacturing Operations, New Product Development, and Quality Assurance. Mr. McElhenney’s medical device experience includes intraosseous vascular access and bone marrow biopsy devices at Vidacare Corporation, laparoscopic surgical devices at Ethicon Endo-Surgery, cardiac and peripheral stents at Cordis Corporation (both Johnson & Johnson companies), wound healing devices and therapeutic surfaces at Kinetic Concepts (KCI), and electrosurgical devices at Bard Electro-Medical Systems. Mr. McElhenney’s most recent role was VP Manufacturing and Quality for Vidacare Corporation, a very successful start-up and growth company that was acquired by Teleflex Corporation in 2013. While at Vidacare, he played an integral role in managing the contract manufacturing and distribution partners, developing and managing the quality system, supporting domestic and international product registrations, and directing the new product development process. He also played an important role during the acquisition due diligence process and the subsequent integration of the company. Mr. McElhenney’s extensive background in operations, quality systems and product development at both large firms and start-up organizations has allowed him to demonstrate a strong track record of releasing new products, managing an effective supply chain, and developing and defending effective and compliant quality systems. Mr. McElhenney holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver.
